The Nikon 25x120 Binocular Telescope w/Fork Mount is a powerful binocular designed for astronomy, scenery, and military observation. Because the Binocular Telescope is constructed of metal alloy, O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, it is 100% weatherproof and can be mounted on a pillar on a ship's deck or bolted to a railing on an observation platform. The Nikon 25x120 Binocular Telescope's proprietary optics have enormous 120mm objective lenses that have Nikon's special multi-coatings, along with the other lens surfaces throughout the binocular. The eyepieces focus individually with a close focus of 689' and have wrap-around winged eyecups to eliminate side light for better contrast. The optical system includes glass and coatings that greatly reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations. The wide apparent field of view is 64.7° and has a very flat field of focus.
